On 28th of July, 2020, one-day training on hotel reservation and reception procedures, organized by ENPARD Khulo project for Vocational college “New Wave” students, took place in Goderdzi resort, in hotel “Arsiani”. The training was led by Main Specialist of PR and Advertising Division at Department of Tourism and Resorts of Ajara A/R, Irakli Baramidze.
The training was attended by 15 students from the tourism faculty of college “New Wave” Khulo branch. The main topics of the training were the essence of tourism and hospitality industry, hierarchy of hotel departments, hotel classifications and food service. The training was interactive and full of practical exercises. The participants had practical introduction of hotel arrangement, room, furniture, kitchen and dining room layout, on the example of the hotel. Training was also attended lecturers of the college and director Lasha Khakhutaishvili.
The informational training was organized in the framework of the EU funded project “Promotion of Rural Development and Diversification in Khulo Municipality” implemented by Caritas Czech Republic in Georgia (CCRG) in partnership with Croatian non-governmental organization HMRR and PMC Research Center, under the European Neighborhood Programme for Agriculture and Rural Development (ENPARD).
The EU is supporting agriculture and rural development in Georgia through its ENPARD Programme. Implemented since 2013 with a total budget of EUR 179.5 million, the main goal of ENPARD is to reduce rural poverty in Georgia. The first phase of ENPARD in Georgia focused on developing the potential of agriculture.
